The Best Western Hotel Mannheim City has been certified by the German Hotel and Restaurant Association DEHOGA in the framework of the DEHOGA Environmental Check. This certificate encourages the hotel to continue its path towards more sustainability.

Participants in the DEHOGA Environmental Check underwent a critical assessment of the areas energy and water consumption, waste production and regionally sourced food.

Some of the hotel's eco-friendly measures:

• use of regionally sourced fruit and vegetables
• organic and Fairtrade-labelled coffee and tea
• shower gels and soaps in eco-friendly packaging
• strict separation of waste
• use of green electricity
